The Smiling Professor, also known as Professor Smug or Professor Niyaniya, is a non-playable character in Blue Archive. She is a mastermind claiming to be capable of devising multiple plans despite the constantly changing situation. Though her real name is unknown, she is known for her cunning and resourcefulness. She is responsible for releasing one of the Seven Prisoners, Kurihama Akemi. The Smiling Professor has hip-length, wavy, platinum blonde hair with bangs parted to the side, framing her face. She also has lime-colored eyes. Her halo is a light yellow color, shaped like a crescent with a small circle in the middle, and the crescent has a line with sharp edges intersecting it in the middle. She wears a black shirt dress with two golden buttons at the waist, topped with an open black coat. She has black stockings, elegant black gloves, a red bow at the neck, and light grey boots. Her weapon is a lavender flintlock dueling pistol with a white barrel and side plating. The Smiling Professor serves as a significant antagonist in the game, with her plans and machinations driving the story forward.
