Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade is an action-adventure game developed by South Korean studio Shift Up and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, released on April 26, 2024, for the PlayStation 5. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where Earth has been overrun by alien creatures called Naytibas, forcing humanity to retreat to a space colony. Players control Eve, a soldier from the colony, tasked with defeating the Naytibas and reclaiming Earth. Along her journey, Eve encounters survivors Adam and Lily, and together they struggle to survive in the last remaining city, Xion. The game features a third-person perspective, allowing players to explore the world, engage in combat, and participate in various missions. Stellar Blade has gained attention for its impressive visuals, fluid combat system, and unique character design. Inspired by games like Nier: Automata, it blends science fiction and post-apocalyptic themes to create a distinctive gaming experience. The game has also generated controversy surrounding the character design and outfits of the protagonist Eve, which some Western publications criticized as overly sexualized, but also attracted many players. The game has sold over 1 million copies by June 2024, with a Windows version planned for release in 2025.
