Gabumon

Gabumon (ガブモン) is a fictional Digimon that appears in the Digimon franchise, first introduced in the original Digital Monster virtual pet Ver.2. It is a Reptile-type Rookie Digimon, characterized by its shy and timid personality and the fur pelt it wears, which is formed from the data left behind by Garurumon. The pelt serves as both camouflage and a form of self-protection. When wearing the pelt, Gabumon's personality shifts dramatically, becoming more brave and confident. Its most well-known special attack is the 'Petit Fire'. In Digimon Adventure, Gabumon is the partner Digimon of Matt Ishida, ultimately evolving into the Mega-level MetalGarurumon and becoming a vital member of the main cast. The design of Gabumon is inspired by the 'Gabu Kashira,' a Kabuki puppet whose face changes from a timid maiden to a horned demon with the pull of a string. Gabumon's evolutionary line includes: Punimon (Baby I), Tsunomon (Baby II), Gabumon (Rookie), Garurumon (Champion), WereGarurumon (Ultimate), and finally MetalGarurumon (Mega).
