Freddy Krueger

Freddy Krueger, renowned as the iconic dream demon from the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series, is a playable guest character in the Mortal Kombat franchise. He made his debut in Mortal Kombat (2011) as a DLC character. In the game, Freddy retains his trademark appearance—the burned face, fedora, red and green striped sweater, and bladed glove. Although his look is inspired by the 2010 remake, he is voiced by the original actor, Robert Englund, adding a touch of nostalgia. His abilities include manipulating opponents in their dreams, though his powers are diminished in the real world, where he relies on agility and stamina. Freddy boasts unique moves and fatalities such as dream shifts, glove tosses, and gory finishers, all faithful to his persona as a dream stalker. Furthermore, he also appears in Mortal Kombat Mobile as “Nightmare Freddy Krueger.”
