Tekken 8

Tekken 8 is a 2024 fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the eighth main installment in the Tekken series and the first to debut on home systems instead of arcades. Tekken 8 was developed using Unreal Engine 5 and features upgraded fighting elements and systems, introducing new mechanics like the "Heat" system and "Tornado" hits. The base game’s story mode, titled The Dark Awakens, takes place six months after the events of Tekken 7, focusing on the final confrontation between Jin Kazama and his father Kazuya Mishima, and the introduction of Heihachi Mishima’s adoptive daughter, Reina. Jin's mother, Jun Kazama, also appears for the first time since Tekken 2. An additional story mode, Unforgettable Echoes, focuses on Lidia Sobieska, Eddy Gordo, and Yoshimitsu uncovering the Mishima Clan's ancient history, and the resurrection of Heihachi. Tekken 8 emphasizes aggressive gameplay, rewarding proactive players. In addition to technical updates, the game features new character models and voice acting. The online mode includes "Arcade Quest," a battle lobby with arcade environments, online battles, and tournaments. Tekken 8 has received critical acclaim for its graphics, story, and gameplay.
