Ushiwakahime

Ushiwakahime is a character introduced in *Shinsetsu Samurai Spirits: Bushidou Retsuden*. She is a major villain in the first chapter of the game. Earlier sketches of her character depicted her as more wild and demonic; her final design was inspired by a fox and the impression of an elegant dancer. Her name and tengu attributes are based on the famous late Heian samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune, with whom she shares a soul in the story. Ushiwakahime is a demonic servant of Ambrosia, revived by Amakusa. She takes on a human form to wreak havoc for her lords. She typically acts alone but will call upon Tokihime for backup. She continues to disrupt the hero’s party until she is defeated while guarding Ambrosia’s seal. Ushiwakahime is sadistic, persistent, and cruel, reveling in destruction and misery. She is faithful to her lords' cause and never questions their orders. She fights using her demonic powers, often using her pointed hat as a weapon, throwing it to block or stun opponents.
