Saldeath

Saldeath is a character from One Piece, serving as one of the Chief Guards of Impel Down prison, in command of the Blue Gorillas. He resembles a small devil, wearing a white suit with a yellow shirt and black tie, a white hat adorned with a skull and horns, and yellow gloves. Saldeath was initially short, about half the height of a normal person, but grew considerably taller after the two-year timeskip. He is known to be calm and level-headed, not as brutal as the Blue Gorillas under his command. He uses a trident-like pitchfork, which he plays like a flute, to control the Blue Gorillas. In the Impel Down Arc, Saldeath was responsible for capturing Luffy and his group on Level 3, but failed due to the Sphinx's interference. Later, he also participated in suppressing the riot on Level 2 and tried to prevent Luffy's escape. His name in Japanese, “Saru Desu,” sounds similar to “I am a Monkey,” leading Luffy to initially mistake him for one.
