Kirisame Marisa

Marisa Kirisame is a significant sub-character in the Touhou Project series, and a human magician residing in the Forest of Magic. Her personality is sometimes described as disagreeable, while at other times she appears straightforward. She is very self-confident and enjoys getting involved in all kinds of trouble out of curiosity. Marisa first appeared in Story of Eastern Wonderland, as a minion of Mima to fight Reimu, and since then she has appeared in almost every game, sometimes as Reimu's ally, sometimes as her opponent. She is also a hard worker, trying to catch up to the naturally gifted Reimu through secret training and magic development. Unlike others who possess natural talents, she is considered to be the 'most human-ish human' in the Touhou series. Marisa is also the author of The Grimoire of Marisa, a collection of notes about spellcards used by herself and other danmaku users.
