Rika

Rika (里香, りか) is a character from the Touhou Project series, specifically appearing as a boss in Stage 1 and the Extra Stage of 'Story of Eastern Wonderland.' She is a self-proclaimed tank engineer who creates numerous monsters and challenges Reimu Hakurei near the Hakurei Shrine. Rika's signature is her frequent use of the phrase “なのです (nanodesu).” In Stage 1, Rika is depicted with brown hair in twin braids, wearing a white shirt and holding chalk. In the Extra Stage, she wears a red hat and a red, purple, and blue outfit, with horn-like ornaments on her head. Her notable tanks include the “ふらわ～戦車 (Flower-Tank)” and the “イビルアイΣ (Evil Eye Sigma).” Rika's character design blends scientific and fantastical elements, claiming to have created all the monsters encountered. She is also a popular subject for fan works, with fans designating September 15th as “Rika Day,” due to it also being "Tank Day." Interestingly, some analyses suggest that Rika may have been an inspiration for the character Rika Furude from 'Higurashi When They Cry'.
