Rikako Asakura

Rikako Asakura (朝倉 理香子, Asakura Rikako) is a character in the Touhou Project series. She is one of the few people in Gensokyo who values science more than magic, although she can use both. This leads to her being regarded as a heretic by Reimu Hakurei. She believes that the ruins appearing in Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream were created by science, not magic, and therefore participated in the battle to enter the Probability Space Hypervessel. Rikako is a scientist who firmly believes in the existence of power beyond magic. Despite possessing considerable magical power, she does not favor using it. She is characterized by her white lab coat with a yellow ribbon, a white ribbon in her hair, small round glasses, and typically purple hair and eyes. In the game Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream, she appears as a playable character and battles Chiyuri Kitashirakawa so Yumemi Okazaki could study her magic. After defeating Yumemi, she requests something that would help her learn about the science of Yumemi’s world, ultimately receiving a 5th-grade science textbook.
