Kurumi

Kurumi is a character from the old Touhou Project series, debuting as a mid-boss and boss in Stage 2 of *Touhou Gensoukyou ~ Lotus Land Story*. Her title is “Vampire,” and she appears as a cute girl with large wings and long golden hair. Although called a vampire, she has no direct connection to the Scarlet sisters from *Touhou Koumakyou*. Kurumi serves as a gatekeeper at the lake entrance to the Dream Palace, having defeated all intruders who tried to pass. During battles, the background turns red and she moves her big wings. Due to her being an old-series character with few appearances, further details about her are scarce. In fan circles, September 30th is known as “Kurumi Day,” derived from Japan’s “Kurumi no Hi” (Walnut Day).
