Elly

Elly (エリー), is a character from the Touhou Project series, debuting as the third stage boss in the PC-98 game *Touhou Gensoukyou ~ Lotus Land Story*. She serves as the gatekeeper of Mugenkan, a mansion situated on the border between the fantasy world and the real world. Elly is depicted with golden hair, yellow eyes, a pink hat, a red and pink dress, and carries a large scythe. She is portrayed as somewhat absent-minded, claiming to be strong but in actuality being out of practice due to a lack of combat. In the game, she is easily defeated by Reimu or Marisa. Elly may not be prominent in the main story, yet her distinctive design and amusing lines, such as, 'It can't be helped, I haven't fought in a long time! (cries)', have made her a fan favorite. In fan works, Elly frequently appears alongside her mistress, Yuuka Kazami. Notably, she is the only boss in the series who starts with an extended period of invincibility, and the only character to use tiles as danmaku. Her theme song is called 'Reisen ~ Perdition Crisis'. Despite being an early character, Elly maintains a degree of popularity and influence within the Touhou series, standing as a well-recognized figure from the early PC-98 games.
