Sara

Sara (サラ) is a character from the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the stage 1 boss in Mystic Square. She resides in the mountain cave that serves as the gateway to Makai, acting as the gatekeeper. Sara is characterized by her pink eyes and hair, and her attire, which includes a red dress and a white scarf. In the game, she attempts to prevent the protagonist from entering Makai but is ultimately defeated. Regarding her origins, it is speculated that she might have been created by Shinki, the creator of Makai, making her essentially Shinki's gatekeeper. Her name, "Sara," is derived from Sara Brownie, a character from Izumi Takemoto's story The Crystal Egg, within the compilation Niji-iro♪Bakuhatsu Musume♥. Overall, Sara is an early, somewhat mysterious character within the Touhou Project series.
