Daiyousei

Daiyousei (大妖精, lit. "Greater Fairy") is a character from the Touhou Project series, often considered the representative of the "greater fairy" category. She first appeared in The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as a midboss in Stage 2. Daiyousei resides near the Misty Lake around the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and like other fairies, she is cheerful, mischievous, simple, and emotional. Despite appearing multiple times in the games, she doesn't have an official name or a significant storyline, typically regarded as a normal enemy-class character. Her appearance is characterized by short green hair, a yellow ribbon, a blue dress, and golden wings on her back. Though she appears in both games and manga, she rarely has lines or personal plot. Fans nicknamed her "Daiyousei," which was later used by ZUN (the creator of Touhou Project) in interviews to refer to stronger-than-average fairies. Overall, Daiyousei is a popular and representative character in Touhou Project, despite having no explicit character settings.
