Cirno

Cirno (チルノ, Chiruno) is an ice fairy character from the Touhou Project series. She first appeared as the Stage 2 boss in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and has since appeared in various roles as a mid-boss, playable character, and protagonist. Cirno is known for her childish, boastful, and sometimes foolish personality, often referring to herself as 'the strongest.' While she is considered a weaker boss in the series, she possesses the ability to manipulate cold, making her relatively strong among other fairies. Cirno’s distinctive features include her blue hair and eyes, icicle-shaped wings, and her habit of playing with frogs, freezing them and then thawing them out, sometimes resulting in their deaths. Her name, 'Cirno,' is likely derived from the English word 'chill,' and she is often referred to as '⑨' by fans due to being labeled '⑨.baka' (⑨.idiot) in the game manual. Cirno is not only prominent in the official games but is also a beloved figure in many fan-made works, making her an iconic character in the Touhou Project universe.
