Letty Whiterock

Letty Whiterock (レティ・ホワイトロック) is a character from the Touhou Project series, a yuki-onna youkai who only appears during winter. Letty first appears as the stage 1 boss in Perfect Cherry Blossom. Her ability is the manipulation of chill, which allows her to strengthen the existing cold in nature, rather than directly creating blizzards or snow. Therefore, her power varies with the seasonal environment, being very strong in winter but almost powerless outside of it. Letty is cold and aloof towards humans, and many fear her abilities. Her name and personality are inspired by the character Letitia Blacklock from Agatha Christie's novel "A Murder is Announced". Her design features lavender curly hair and eyes, a blue and white dress, a white apron and cap, and a nearly transparent cape. The golden lapel on her dress resembles the alchemical symbol for silver. Letty is active during winter, and in other seasons, she hides away in places out of reach of sunlight, hibernating. She has some relationship with Cirno, but she seems to dislike being compared to her. Letty's appearance often signals the arrival of winter, and she is often considered the cause of long winters.
