Konpaku Youmu

Youmu Konpaku is a prominent character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing in Touhou Youyoumu (Perfect Cherry Blossom). She is a half-human half-phantom who resides in Hakugyokurou in the Netherworld, where she serves as a gardener and swordplay instructor, as well as a guard for Yuyuko Saigyouji. Youmu has a unique dual nature, being half-human and half-phantom, with her phantom half typically appearing as a large, accompanying spirit. She is known for her earnest and straightforward personality, though she can sometimes be a bit naive and easily teased, especially by her mistress, Yuyuko. Youmu is a skilled swordswoman who wields two swords: the long katana, Roukanken, and the short wakizashi, Hakurouken. The Roukanken is said to be able to slay phantoms, while the Hakurouken is capable of cutting through human confusion. Despite her proficiency, she is still in training. As the gardener of Hakugyokurou, she maintains the expansive gardens and carries out Yuyuko's orders. Throughout the Touhou Project games, Youmu frequently appears as either a boss or a playable character, and her distinctive personality and fighting style have earned her a dedicated fan base.
