Yakumo Yukari

Yukari Yakumo, also known as 八雲 紫 (Yakumo Yukari), is a highly influential character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the Phantasm stage boss in 'Perfect Cherry Blossom.' She is a youkai with the power to manipulate boundaries, earning her the title of "gap youkai." Yukari is regarded as one of the most powerful and enigmatic youkai in Gensokyo, with a lifespan exceeding 1200 years, predating Gensokyo's history. She often appears in a lazy manner, spending most of her time sleeping, but is deeply concerned with the safety of Gensokyo. She excels at mathematics, possesses extraordinary intelligence, and often solves problems by manipulating events behind the scenes rather than engaging in direct combat. Yukari has close relationships with many powerful youkai, such as Yuyuko Saigyouji and Suika Ibuki. She is also one of the primary contributors to the Great Hakurei Barrier and can travel freely between Gensokyo and the outside world. Known for toying with opponents and her elusive nature, Yukari is a complex and vital entity in Gensokyo.
