Mystia Lorelei

Mystia Lorelei (ミスティア・ローレライ) is a character in the Touhou Project series, often referred to as the "Night Sparrow." She is an outgoing, egocentric youkai, or at least she sounds arrogant. She enjoys using her song to inflict confusion and terror into the hearts of humans. Her song not only causes bewilderment but also attracts nearby monsters. She often roams the Youkai Trail near the Human Village, seeking humans to frighten. She is indeed feared by the locals, as she can plunge those around her into darkness. Mystia possesses several abilities. Her singing can dull the judgment of humans, causing them to lose their way. Furthermore, she can inflict night-blindness on humans, concealing her own form. Although she is essentially a night sparrow, she can control moths, sparrows, and other birds and insects. During the day, she hides, and at night, she uses her song to lure and attack humans. She also runs a grilled lamprey stand, using her powers to induce night-blindness in customers and then pretending that her grilled lamprey cures it. Beyond her activities as a youkai, Mystia is a good cook and is knowledgeable about making sake. She also formed a punk rock band with Kyouko Kasodani, where she plays the guitar.
