Tewi Inaba, also known as Inaba Tei and 因幡 てゐ (Inaba Tewi), is a character from the Touhou Project. She is a youkai rabbit and the leader of the many youkai rabbits living at Eientei, considered the leader of all earth rabbits. Despite her childish appearance, she is hinted to be very old, possibly the legendary White Rabbit of Inaba. Tewi is lighthearted and playful, known for her pranks and occasional lies. She has the ability to confer good luck to humans and is in charge of the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. She can also use her luck to her benefit, such as finding Eientei using her luck. She made a deal with Eirin Yagokoro, the mistress of Eientei, to protect the place from humans in exchange for Eirin sharing her knowledge with the rabbits. The 'wi' (ゐ) in Tewi's name is an archaic kana, pronounced the same as 'i' in modern Japanese. The 'Inaba' in her name refers to the Inaba Province in historical Japan.
