Medicine Melancholy

Medicine Melancholy (メディスン・メランコリー) is a character from the Touhou Project, first appearing in Phantasmagoria of Flower View. She is a young doll youkai who resides on the Hill of the Nameless, surrounded by poisonous lily-of-the-valley flowers. Originally a discarded ventriloquist doll, Medicine became a youkai over many years within the lily-of-the-valley field. As a newly born youkai, she has limited experience, holds a strong hatred for humanity, and actively tries to poison anyone near her. Her ability is to manipulate various poisons, including those from plants, animals, and even other substances. Being non-living, she is immune to poison. Although not among the most powerful youkai, her poisons pose a significant threat to both humans and youkai. She desires doll emancipation, believing that dolls should break free from human control, but few other dolls share her view. After Phantasmagoria of Flower View, she gradually learns empathy and becomes more sociable.
