Shikieiki Yamaxanadu is a character from the Touhou Project series, first appearing in the ninth installment, Phantasmagoria of Flower View. She is a Yama from Hell responsible for judging the dead and determining whether they will be reincarnated, sent to Heaven, Hell, or another location. Shikieiki is known in Gensokyo for her lecturing habit, she is passionate about pointing out the faults of others and wants them to improve. The souls of the dead are brought to her by Komachi Onozuka across the Sanzu River. Shikieiki has the ability to distinctly judge good and evil, and her judgment is absolute, it cannot be overturned by the deceased. She resides in Hell and sometimes appears in Higan. Her job makes her somewhat preachy, but her intention is for people to become better. She also possesses an item called the 'Cleansed Crystal Mirror,' which can reflect the past of those being judged. In Phantasmagoria of Flower View, Shikieiki appears as the final boss, and she appears after discovering that Komachi's laziness had caused an incident in Gensokyo. Her given name 'Shiki' means four seasons, 'Eiki' means 'projection princess,' and 'Yamaxanadu' is the title of a Yama.
