Moriya Suwako

Suwako Moriya is a significant character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the Extra boss in Mountain of Faith. She is the true god of the Moriya Shrine, although the shrine is officially owned by Kanako Yasaka. Suwako claims to handle the divine services while Kanako handles the 'sales'. Suwako is an ancient native god with the power to create earth and is considered the leader of mountain gods and the controller of the Mishaguji. In ancient times, Suwako was a powerful ruler with immense faith but was later defeated by the Yamato invaders led by Kanako, causing her kingdom to fall. Despite this, Suwako maintains her influence over the Moriya Shrine behind the scenes and maintains a complex relationship with Kanako. She has a laid-back and mischievous personality and often argues with Kanako, although they are actually good friends. Suwako excels at manipulating the earth, summoning magma and geysers, and uses large iron rings as weapons. In Gensokyo, she appears in the form of a frog and can grant various blessings. She is related to the shrine maiden Sanae Kochiya.
