Oo-Namazu

Ōnamazu, also known as the Giant Catfish, is a fictional character in the Touhou Project, first appearing in *Touhou Hisoutensoku*. It is described as an avatar of Taisui Xingjun, a God of Calamity, and is known for its massive size and ability to cause earthquakes. In the story, Ōnamazu attempts to move the Earth and return to the world by draining Hong Meiling's power, with plans to cause various disasters in Gensokyo. Despite its great power, it is ultimately defeated by Meiling, and it is later revealed to be a dream. Ōnamazu's design is inspired by the giant catfish in Japanese mythology that cause earthquakes, as well as the Golden Statue of Catfish in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture. In the game, it is characterized by its glossy, yellowish-brown skin, bulbous eyes, and whiskers. Ōnamazu's attacks primarily involve causing earthquakes and using danmaku, with its spell cards having somewhat arbitrary names that are considered not to follow the usual spell card rules, leading some fans to regard them as non-canon.
