Nazrin

Nazrin (ナズーリン) is a mouse youkai from the Touhou Project series, known for her skilled dowsing abilities and her leadership of numerous mice. She is often employed to find lost items, although if asked to find food, it would likely be consumed by her mice before she could obtain it. Nazrin first appeared as the Stage 1 boss in *Undefined Fantastic Object*, and later as the Stage 5 mid-boss. She also appeared as a target in Stage 7 of *Double Spoiler* and made a background cameo in *Hopeless Masquerade*. In terms of personality, she is described in *Symposium of Post-mysticism* as having a large ego due to her backing from Bishamonten, but is also timid and easily frightened. She also eats quite a bit, and her mice can cause significant damage to crops. It is said that if one is firm while negotiating with her, she will search for lost items; otherwise, being polite will only inflate her ego. Nazrin's ability is to find specific items, requiring her to have a clear image of the object. She uses dowsing rods to aid in her searches and commands her mice to assist. Her rods have cardinal directions on each end: N and W on the left, S and E on the right. She uses them as shields and danmaku weapons in battle. Nazrin serves as Shou Toramaru's helper, dispatched by Bishamonten. She resides in Muenzuka, attracted by the treasures that float in from the outside world.
