Mononobe no Futo

Mononobe no Futo is a character from the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the stage 5 boss in *Ten Desires*. She is a self-proclaimed shikaisen, formerly a hermit practicing Taoism. Futo possesses the ability to manipulate feng shui and originates from the Asuka era, making her over 1400 years old. She was once a member of the Mononobe clan but betrayed her family in the conflict with the Soga clan, aligning herself with the latter. Later, she collaborated with the saint Toyosatomimi no Miko on the shikaisen plan, transferring their souls to plates in pursuit of immortality. Futo has a conservative personality, struggles to adapt to modern times, and exhibits a typical "hermit" persona. She is friendly towards humans but hostile towards youkai. Her battle style involves plates, manipulating feng shui, and controlling elements like fire, wind, and water. She appears as both an enemy and playable character in various games of the Touhou Project series.
