Tsukumo Benben

Benben Tsukumo is a character from the Touhou Project series, first appearing in Touhou Kishinjou ~ Double Dealing Character. She is a tsukumogami, or spirit of an object, originating from a biwa (a Japanese lute). She appears alongside her younger sister, Yatsuhashi Tsukumo. Benben acts as the calm and collected older sister, contrasting with her impulsive younger sister. Although they refer to themselves as sisters, they are not blood-related, having become tsukumogami at the same time. They both dream of a utopia where tools can move freely, and initially tried to achieve this goal using the power of the Miracle Mallet. Later, they discovered that their power came from the Mallet and feared reverting to ordinary tools. With the help of Raiko Horikawa, they found a new source of power. Benben is known in the game for her unique danmaku (bullet hell) attacks, which often incorporate musical notes and scores. She is characterized by her lilac hair styled into two long ponytails, and her carrying of the biwa, creating a musical-themed appearance.
