Nishida Satono

Satono Nishida, also known as Nishida Satono (爾子田 里乃), is a character from the Touhou Project series. She is a subordinate of the mysterious goddess Okina Matara, serving alongside Mai Teireida. Satono first appears in *Touhou Hidden Star in Four Seasons* as the Stage 5 mid-boss, boss, and extra stage mid-boss. She is not human, having lost most of her memories as a human due to Okina's magic, while retaining her original personality. Satono's role is to act as Okina's "arms and legs", helping her maintain the balance of Gensokyo. She draws out mental energy by dancing behind others, an ability derived from Okina's power, not her own. Satono is discreet but sometimes overconfident. She and Mai are unaware that they are searching for their own replacements, rather than new allies for Okina. Satono is usually depicted as a young girl with light ginger short hair, with long side locks, and purple eyes, wearing a dotted magenta dress with black and yellow lace, a black Kazaori-eboshi, and often holding a stalk of Myoga ginger.
