Matara Okina

Okina Matara, also known as 摩多羅 隠岐奈, is a character from the Touhou Project series, debuting as the final boss and extra stage boss in Touhou Tenkuushou (Hidden Star in Four Seasons). She is one of the sages of Gensokyo, a mysterious secret god with multiple identities, including an earth mother goddess, a god of noh, a god of stars, a god of sericulture, a god of hindrances, and a god of discriminated peoples. She can manipulate life and mental energy and create 'back doors' on anything, using them for transportation or energy manipulation. In Touhou Tenkuushou, she causes the Four Seasons Incident to test Gensokyo's functionality and showcase her power. Her personality is complex, showing arrogance and a love for grand displays, but also compassion towards the weak and a dedication to maintaining order. Despite being called a secret god, she does not hide, often publicly displaying her presence and drawing attention with exaggerated gestures. Okina Matara plays a vital role in maintaining Gensokyo’s balance, acting as both a protector and a manipulator, often intervening in Gensokyo’s affairs in various ways to uphold her unique sense of equilibrium. She possesses immense power, capable of creating life and controlling the seasons, but also abides by her own rules and limitations, demonstrating a complex and multi-faceted divinity.
