Yachie Kicchou is the stage 4 midboss and boss of Touhou 17, *Wily Beast and Weakest Creature*, and also a playable character in *Touhou 19, Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost*. She is the leader of the Kiketsu Family, a group of beast spirits from the Animal Realm known for their surprise attacks. Yachie appears to be polite but is actually manipulative and condescending, seeing both humans and animal spirits as resources. Her ability is to make people lose the will to fight back, subtly compelling them to follow her orders. In *Wily Beast and Weakest Creature*, she seeks to use the power of the surface world to counter the haniwa army. In *Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost*, she loses her land ownership due to market influence and joins the battle for territory. Her design is based on the Chinese mythical creature, Jidiao, which has the body of a tortoise with a dragon’s head and tail. This is reflected in her appearance, such as yellow antler-like horns and a green tortoise shell on her back.
