Himemushi Momoyo

Himemushi Momoyo is a character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the Extra Stage boss in Unconnected Marketeers. She is an oomukade, a giant centipede-like youkai said to be powerful enough to eat dragons. Momoyo is feared in the foothills as the most powerful dragon-slaying youkai, and even dragons dare not approach her. She possesses immense magical power, fueled by the negative aura cast upon her, and hardly anyone approaches her, which further fuels her legends of strength. Although it's said she can eat dragons, nobody knows if she actually can. In Unconnected Marketeers, she is employed by Iizunamaru Megumu to excavate dragon gems in the Rainbow Dragon Cave. Her personality is direct, casual, and somewhat masculine, and she enjoys making jokes and has respect for strong individuals. She considers Iizunamaru Megumu a friend for daring to face her. She enjoys fighting and anticipates rematches with powerful opponents. Her given name, 'Momoyo', means 'eternity' or 'long era', while her surname, 'Himemushi', means 'insect princess', possibly indicating her status as a powerful youkai.
