Son Biten

Son Biten, also known as Son Biten (そん びてん), is a character in the Touhou Project series, debuting in Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost. She is a sarugami (monkey god) residing in the Yamanba area of Youkai Mountain and firmly believes she is the reincarnation of the legendary Sun Wukong. She possesses the ability to manipulate wild monkeys and wields a long, test-tube-like weapon. Her personality is carefree, juvenile, and nonchalant, often lacking critical thinking and exhibiting significant confidence, frequently using jokes or minor details as an excuse to initiate battles. Son Biten was recruited by Yachie Kicchou under the guise of preventing her from falling into Hell, but is actually a pawn in the Kiketsu Family's advancement to the surface. She interacts with characters like Reimu Hakurei and Sanae Kochiya. Her name, 'Son Biten,' is derived from Chinese, with 'Son' being a common surname meaning 'grandchild/descendant,' and 'Biten' literally meaning 'Beautiful Sky/Heaven.' Her name in Chinese is pronounced Sun Meitian. Her appearance includes crimson eyes, short brown hair styled into dense pigtails, adorned with a golden tiara, a dress colored lime, orange, & blue, and a monkey tail.
