Unnamed Book-Reading Youkai

The Unnamed Book-Reading Youkai, often called Tokiko by fans, is a minor character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing in the first and second chapters of Curiosities of Lotus Asia. She doesn't have an official name, and is depicted as a youkai girl who enjoys reading, typically wearing a gothic lolita-style black dress with blue accents. She has silver bobbed hair with blue bangs and sideburns, small horns on her head, and red wings on her back, making her resemble a crested ibis. In the story, she is attacked by Reimu Hakurei while reading outdoors, and has three foreign books stolen from her. Later, she visits Kourindou to retrieve her books, but is defeated by Marisa Kirisame. Despite lacking a formal name and backstory, she has garnered a high level of popularity among fans, who create various derivative works featuring her.
