Reisen

Reisen, in the Touhou Project series, usually refers to two characters: Reisen Udongein Inaba and another moon rabbit simply named "Reisen." Reisen Udongein Inaba is a moon rabbit youkai living in Gensokyo. She initially fled to Earth to escape the war on the moon and was later taken in by Eirin Yagokoro and Kaguya Houraisan, living in Eientei. She has the ability to manipulate madness by controlling wavelengths to affect the senses and mental states of others. She is also known as "Udonge" and "Inaba." The other Reisen, who appears in the Touhou Bougetsushou series, is a moon rabbit who is a pet of the Watatsuki sisters. She also fled to Earth and was sent back to the moon. She is not the same person as Reisen Udongein Inaba. She wears the uniform of the Lunar Defense Corps and lives as both a pet and a member of the defense force. The two "Reisen"s have the same pronunciation, but different kanji or kana to differentiate the characters.
