Hieda no Akyuu

Hieda no Akyuu, also known as 稗田 阿求, is a character from the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the main protagonist in Perfect Memento in Strict Sense. She is the current "Child of Miare" of the Hieda family, born every few hundred years with the ability to "not forget anything she sees" and tasked with recording the history of Gensokyo. She enjoys red tea and FM synthesis music. Despite her youthful appearance, Akyuu's memories extend over 1200 years due to her reincarnation as the "Child of Miare", inheriting memories from past lives. As the chronicler of Gensokyo, she records information about youkai and other aspects of Gensokyo, and has authored books like "Perfect Memento in Strict Sense." Akyuu is kind-hearted and, while aware of the dangers of youkai, hopes for understanding between humans and youkai. In her free time, she writes mystery novels under the pen name "Agatha Chris Q." She is also the producer of the "Akyu's Untouched Score" music CD series, with a love for FM synthesis music. Although she carries the responsibility of recording history, she has a relatively short lifespan, which is sometimes joked about by fans.
