Unshou

Unshou (運松翁) is a human character in the Touhou Project series, first appearing in chapter 11 of the manga Wild and Horned Hermit. Originally a fisherman, he became a doctor residing in the Human Village. Unshou is renowned for his exceptional medical skills, said to be able to heal any injury, even severed limbs. His ability stems from a trade with a kappa, where he exchanged a kappa's arm he found for a special medicine. Unshou is depicted as an elderly, bald man with bushy eyebrows, squinted eyes, and a goatee. He wears a kimono and sandals. Unshou possesses a calm demeanor and keen intuition, able to discern a hidden hermit's identity. Despite claiming to be an ordinary doctor, his mannerisms and knowledge hint at him being more than meets the eye, resembling a reclusive hermit. In the story, he heals an injured Marisa Kirisame and interacts with Kasen Ibaraki.
