Chupacabra

In the Touhou Project series, the Chupacabra (チュパカブラ) is a unique character based on the mythical creature of the same name. In Gensokyo, it is mistaken for a treeshrew and named Tupai. This Chupacabra is a pet of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, acquired by Remilia Scarlet from the outside world. Known for its agility and strong jumping ability, it has sharp teeth and claws, and is even described by Sakuya Izayoi as "sharper than a goblin." Tupai first appears in *Touhou Ibarakasen*. It escaped the Scarlet Devil Mansion and was later found drinking sake near the Human Village, causing a commotion before being captured by Hieda no Akyuu. Though kept as a pet, the residents of the Scarlet Devil Mansion primarily view it as a means to entertain Remilia and Flandre Scarlet. The addition of the Chupacabra brings a touch of exoticism and mystery to the Touhou Project.
