For example, in "Subterranean Animism," they appear as cats supporting the boss character Rin Kaenbyou. They also feature in other works like "Shoot the Bullet" and "Wild and Horned Hermit." Vengeful spirits are typically depicted as souls harboring strong grudges and possess special abilities due to their unusual formation. They're a key part of the Touhou Project, adding a unique and eerie element to its fantasy world.
