Bulbasaur, known as Fushigidane in Japanese, is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is one of the first partner Pokémon of the Kanto region, along with Charmander and Squirtle. Bulbasaur is a small, quadrupedal amphibian Pokémon with blue-green skin, darker patches, and a bulb on its back. This bulb is present from birth and grows as Bulbasaur matures, providing energy and nutrients. Bulbasaur is known for its gentle nature, loyalty, and rarity. It uses vines from its bulb to grab objects and care for weaker Pokémon. Bulbasaur can perform photosynthesis and often naps in sunny spots. In the anime, Ash Ketchum's Bulbasaur is a key character, and the Pokémon appears in various other media, including manga and games.
