Pidgeot, known as ピジョット (Pigeot) in Japanese, is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is the final evolution of Pidgey, evolving from Pidgeotto starting at level 36. Pidgeot resembles a large, feathery bird with huge wings and sharp talons. Its plumage is primarily brown with cream-colored underparts, and it has a striking crest on its head with yellow central feathers and red outer feathers, along with a red or brown fan-like tail. Pidgeot's beautiful feathers make it a popular choice among trainers. It is a powerful flyer capable of creating windstorms strong enough to bend trees and can spot prey like Magikarp from great heights. In certain games, Pidgeot can Mega Evolve into Mega Pidgeot, gaining enhanced abilities and a distinctive appearance. Mega Pidgeot has cyan-tipped wings and tail feathers, a more elaborate crest, and increased flying power, allowing it to fly for extended periods.
