Oddish

Oddish (Japanese: ナゾノクサ Nazonokusa) is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It resembles a blue plant bulb or root vegetable, with a round body, beady red eyes, a small mouth, and ovoid feet. Five large, green leaves sprout from its head. These leaves are prehensile, allowing it to scale vertical surfaces and grasp small objects, as shown in the anime. Known scientifically as 'Oddium Wanderus', Oddish inhabits grasslands. This nocturnal Pokémon buries itself during the day to avoid sunlight and predators. If its leaves are pulled while buried, it will shriek. Oddish becomes active when its leaves absorb moonlight, which it uses to grow. It wanders up to 1000 feet at night to scatter seeds and find nutrient-rich soil to plant itself. The more fertile the soil, the glossier its leaves. It’s believed its feet become like tree roots when planted. Oddish evolves into Gloom at level 21, which can then evolve into either Vileplume with a Leaf Stone or Bellossom with a Sun Stone.
