Venomoth, known as Morphon in Japanese, is a dual-type Bug/Poison Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon series. It evolves from Venonat starting at level 31. Venomoth resembles a purple moth with large wings covered in toxic scales. These scales vary in color and have different effects: darker scales cause poison, while lighter scales induce paralysis. It typically inhabits dark forests and is a nocturnal Pokémon, feeding on insects attracted to light at night. When Venomoth flaps its wings, it releases toxic powder that can irritate the skin and is difficult to remove. Its features include small eyes and two fangs. Venomoth has made appearances in the anime, manga, and games. It is a notable character from the first generation of Pokémon, recognized for its Poison typing and unique scale-based attacks.
