Primeape (Japanese: オコリザル Okorizaru) is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Mankey starting at level 28 and evolves into Annihilape when leveled up after using Rage Fist twenty times. Primeape is a bipedal, simian Pokémon with a round body covered in light beige, shaggy fur. There is usually a throbbing vein on the left side of its forehead, and it has triangular ears with pink insides, narrow eyes with tiny pupils, and a pink, snout-like nose. Its arms and legs are brown and have metal shackles on the wrists and ankles, possibly indicative of weight training. Its hands resemble mittens or boxing gloves, and its feet have two toes. Primeape is easily angered, even by the slightest glance. When enraged, its blood circulation is boosted, increasing muscle strength while reducing intelligence. It converts anger into energy to attack opponents. Its brain has sturdy vessels that keep it healthy despite its constant anger. Primeape chases anyone who upsets it relentlessly, even when awakened from sleep. Some researchers theorize that Primeape is angry even inside a Poké Ball. It has been known to die from its rage but appears peaceful in death. Primeape enjoys bananas, lives in mountains, and competes with Ursaring for berries. In Paldea, Hawlucha is its natural enemy.
