Slowpoke, known as Yadon (ヤドン) in Japanese, is a dual-type Water/Psychic Pokémon from the Pokémon franchise. It debuted in Generation I. Slowpoke resembles a pink salamander-hippopotamus hybrid with a round body, curled ears, and a long, tapering tail. Its tail drips a sweet, sappy substance, often used as a fishing lure and also considered a delicacy. Slowpoke is known for being lazy and slow-witted, with delayed reactions to stimuli, sometimes taking up to five seconds to feel pain. It is often found loitering near water, frequently forgetting what it was doing, hence its “dopey” reputation. Slowpoke can evolve into Slowbro or Slowking under specific conditions. In the Galar region, there is a pure Psychic-type Galarian Slowpoke, which can evolve into Galarian Slowbro or Galarian Slowking using certain items.
