Slowbro (Japanese: ヤドラン Yadoran) is a dual-type Water/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Slowpoke and is one of Slowpoke's final evolutionary forms, the other being Slowking. Slowbro is characterized by a Shellder attached to its tail. This Shellder's constant suction for sweetness from Slowbro's tail causes it to take on a spiral shell shape. If the Shellder is removed, Slowbro will revert to Slowpoke.
Slowbro has regional and Mega Evolution forms. In the Galar region, Galarian Slowbro is a Poison/Psychic type, where the Shellder bites its arm instead of its tail. Mega Slowbro is formed when the Shellder fully engulfs Slowbro, resulting in significantly increased defense. Typically lazy, Slowbro becomes inspired and uses psychic abilities when Shellder bites its tail. Slowbro lives near ponds, lakes, and seashores and must swim for prey since it can no longer fish with its tail.
In Pokémon GO, Slowbro is obtained by evolving Slowpoke and can Mega Evolve into Mega Slowbro. Galarian Slowbro is also available. Slowbro appears in various anime, manga, and trading card games, making it a popular character within the Pokémon franchise.
