Farfetch'd (Japanese: カモネギ Kamonegi) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It resembles a light brown duck with a yellow beak, a white underbelly, and a black V-shaped mark on its forehead. Its most distinctive feature is the leek or plant stalk it always carries, which it uses as a weapon, nesting material, and emergency food source. Farfetch'd fiercely defends its leek and is picky about its quality. It is a rare Pokémon, believed to be declining in numbers. In the Galar region, a Fighting-type regional variant exists, Galarian Farfetch'd, which is darker brown and carries a larger leek. Galarian Farfetch'd can evolve into Sirfetch'd after battling. The name Farfetch'd and its association with a leek originate from the Japanese idiom "A duck comes bearing green onions," implying convenience and unexpected good fortune.
