Muk (ベトベトン), is a Poison-type Pokémon from the Pokémon franchise. Introduced in Generation I, it evolves from Grimer. Muk is a large, sticky, amorphous Pokémon made of living purple sludge. It has two small eyes, an enormous mouth, and two arms, each with three fingers. Muk is a living biohazard, leaking toxins that kill plants on contact and rendering land barren for three years. It consumes waste generated by people and Pokémon alike, and its body produces a powerful odor that can cause fainting. In Alola, Muk has a regional form with a dual Poison/Dark type. Alolan Muk is more vibrant, with green, pink, and yellow stripes and blue bands. It has crystallized poison shards on its body. Alolan Muk is unexpectedly quiet and friendly but will destroy its trainer's belongings if not fed trash regularly. Unlike Kantonian Muk, Alolan Muk does not produce a foul stench because its toxins are contained within its body. Overall, Muk is a unique and memorable Pokémon.
