Kingler, known as キングラー in Japanese, is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I of the Pokémon franchise. It evolves from Krabby starting at level 28 and has a Gigantamax form in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Kingler is a crab-like Pokémon with an orange upper body and pincers, and a beige lower body and legs. It has six prominent spikes on its head, resembling a crown. A key characteristic of Kingler is its asymmetrical claws, with the left claw significantly larger than the right and as hard as steel, possessing a crushing force of 10,000 horsepower. Despite its power, the large claw's weight makes it unwieldy, causing balance issues. Kingler lives in coastal areas, feeding on shellfish Pokémon. It uses its larger claw in battles, but the smaller claw for everyday tasks. Gigantamax Kingler is larger, has a foam beard, red eyes, and spikier features, capable of releasing alkaline bubbles.
