Exeggcute (Japanese: タマタマ, Tamatama) is a dual-type Grass/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It resembles a cluster of six light pink eggs, typically arranged with five heads surrounding a sixth. Each "head" has a slightly different facial expression, but all have triangular eyes and small mouths. Cracks are present on each shell, with one member often showing its yellow interior. Despite their appearance, Exeggcute are more akin to plant seeds, believed to carry genes of plants and other species. They are always found in groups of six, communicating via a unique telepathy. If their number falls below six, the remaining Exeggcute will attempt to replace the missing member with a similarly sized Pokémon. They need a group of six to maintain balance; otherwise, they become nervous and cowardly. Exeggcute evolves into Exeggutor when exposed to a Leaf Stone; in the Alola region, it evolves into Alolan Exeggutor. They are the only Pokémon that can naturally learn the move "Barrage."
