Rhyhorn (Japanese: サイホーン Sihorn) is a dual-type Ground/Rock Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It resembles a rhinoceros with a body covered in gray, rocky plates. It has a ridge along its back and two fangs protruding from its upper jaw. Rhyhorn has four short legs with two claws on each foot, a triangular head, and a short horn on its snout; females have shorter horns than males. Rhyhorn is known for its powerful charges, able to smash through obstacles, but its short legs make it poor at turning, limiting it to straight-line runs. It has a small brain and often forgets why it starts charging, continuing until exhaustion. Rhyhorn evolves into Rhydon starting at level 42, which evolves into Rhyperior when traded while holding a Protector. Rhyhorn typically inhabits rough terrain and has appeared throughout various Pokémon games, anime, manga and trading card games.
